HACC Sponsor 2025

Now in its 10th year, the Hawaiʻi Annual Code Challenge (HACC) is seeking sponsors for our successful annual hackathon which connects state government and IT businesses with technology-focused students and workers. Once again, the State of Hawaiʻi, the University of Hawaiʻi, and the IMAG Foundation will continue to be the proud organizers of HACC 2025.

Here are a few highlights that make the HACC unique compared to other hackathons around the country.

  • Participants have an extended time to develop their ideas and a proof-of-concept
  • There are several challenges from state and local government agencies and non-profit organizations
  • Challenges are focused on broad community applications with technology solutions
  • Challenges are linked to valuable real-world experience
  • The HACC is an opportunity to connect with industry professionals and organizations

As we continue to grow, the enthusiasm and excitement for the HACC is reflected in the numbers from last year.
Here’s a look at HACC 2024’s reach:

Thanks to feedback from our sponsors and participants, we are organizing new events for 2025 that complement and build upon the skills and knowledge needed to be successful at the HACC and in participants careers. These changes will build on HACC 2024’s momentum and take the Hawaiʻi Annual Code Challenge to the next level!

Your sponsorship will:

  • Connect your company with top tech talent (high school, college, and professionals)
  • Support hands-on coding challenges for real-world impact
  • Fund professional development, AI workshops, internships, and awards
  • Provide important training opportunities to Hawai’i Tech Workforce

The HACC fosters innovation by uniting tech minds to solve challenges from state agencies, schools, and nonprofits. This year, we’re enhancing pre-event training and keeping Hawaiʻi’s workforce up to date in AI and emerging technologies.

Participants take part in the HACC at no cost due to contributions from our partners and patrons. All funds and in-kind donations go toward supporting the year-around program, event activities, internships, and awards. All funds will be received and handled by IMAG Foundation, a 501(c)(3) organization, making all contributions 100% tax deductible.

We would greatly appreciate your organization as a sponsor of 10th Annual Hawaii Annual Code Challenge.

Additionally, after the award announcements, Sponsor representatives will have an opportunity to interact with all attending HACC participants and attendees to discuss their organizations, and potential internships or job opportunities.

Neighbor Island Participation and Travel Support
Increased neighbor island participation by schools, non-profits, and participants is a focus for the HACC. Travel support will be awarded to two members of any qualifying teams located on the neighbor islands. A live stream of the event for those not able to attend in person will also be provided.

Workshop Opportunities
Our goal is to partner with sponsors to offer training opportunities that highlight your products and services while strengthening Hawaiʻi’s tech workforce. We also aim to create a calendar of events that promotes your organization and maximizes outreach to potential attendees.
