Session 1 – Security & Privacy Considerations in Application Development

In this security workshop, Rich Antonow, Sr. Technology Specialist of Microsoft will discuss and demonstrate how to securely develop and deploy applications on the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform. Rich will introduce how Generative AI and the latest tools in Microsoft are helping with all aspects of application development and learn how threat actors can leverage AI against applications and what you can do about it.
Topics covered include: What are the threats today?  Best security practices and guidelines for developing Cloud Native applications.  How you can thrive in a “no-code, Low-code world, using DevOps for automation and what is this “AI thing” everyone is talking about?

Instructor: Richard Antonow, Principal Identity & Security Specialist
Rich is in a Technical Specialist role for Security and Identity. He supports accounts with “all things” security as it relates to Cloud and on-premises identities, user synchronization, identity protection, data/application/device threat protection and advanced EDR-XDR solutions.   Rich has been with Microsoft for 7 years, primarily covering the Western region including the states of Alaska and Hawaiʻi. He resides in Phoenix, Arizona.
